Color Gamut

Color Gamut is actually the range of color that varies from each other in different aspects. Inks, dyes and tonners are the key colorants along with quality of the paper that affects the color gamut greatly. It is to be noticed that images that are printed have comparatively smaller ranges of color in comparison to the monitors and the transparency film. You need to consider this aspect before going for printing. Color in the image that are opposite to gamut or masked with the tone of gray. Do not forget that if the default setting of Photoshop that is CMYK is being used in the ink value, the colors cannot be printed in any case. You ought to have RGB mode for them.

Issues concerning management of colors

Obtaining a consistent color from the original one is an important issue especially while being displayed over the monitor. Enabling reproduction while printing - is considerable. Variety of material and devices are used in order to capture, display and then reproduce color for printing. All the activities have some profound effect on the final output.

Distortion of image can be the end result if these settings are not considered beforehand especially in high resolution images where pixels are heavier and can get affected quickly.
